Gaming Day at Sherlock's in Lebanon.
Moving to first Sundays, see below.

Turns out that April 12th is Easter, I will be at a convention, and I'm sure
other folks will have family things. We have decided to close on Easter so that
our employees will be able to have time with their families too. This caused us
to look at the other planned game days in relation to holidays and other events
booked at the store.

Game Days will now be on the First Sunday of every month. Yes, I know there is
another game day on first Sundays. We have thought about it and we have lots to
offer, and hope you feel the same way!

On Game Days we will be open early, at 10 am, and will have eggs, sausage, bacon
and homemade croissants available for breakfast. Although we have seating for
70, We suggest you arrive early to insure seat and table availabilty. For those
of you that smoke, there is a nice outdoor covered patio available for your
gaming pleasure. We will have giveaways every odd hour, and of course our
regular lunch and dinner menu and domestic and import beers.

Here are the upcoming game days at Sherlock's Cafe:

April 5th
May 3rd
June 7th
July 5th
(and so on.)

However, gamers are always welcome anytime the cafe is open! There is even a
table reserved for gaming now.

Regular Hours:
Tues.-Thurs. 10-6, Fri-Sat 10-9, Sunday 12-5, Monday-Closed.

Please patronize the cafe and tip the staff, that is the best thing you can do
to make game day continue. Also, please understand that children must be
supervised at all times, and cannot go running through the bookstore while you
game in the cafe. Other than that, game on!

You guys rock,

I need help!!
yeah, all jokes aside;

Ok, everyone, I have been a dutz again.

I scheduled a costume Camarilla game for this weekend in Vampire stuff.
I have  not YET been able to secure a game site! Hotels want 300-400 for a meeting space, and TSU's homecoming is this weekend. I'd hate to use a person's house as we're looking at about 20 people. Some visiting from out of town!!!!

I need help. lots of it. I need suggestions, hookups, anything!

Text me, reply to this message, something?

Current Mood: frantic!

Get Your Roleplay Free

Talisman Studios is celebrating the anniversary of Suzerain, our Origins Award Nominee RPG. And we’re celebrating in style, with a couple of great bits of news for roleplay fans everywhere:

Suzerain is now free from our online shop! That’s $0.00 for the Suzerain rule book. The economy’s getting tougher and none of us has much money to play with, but from now on you won’t need any money to play with Suzerain. Enjoy the game at www.suzerain.info by clicking on the ‘Treasure’ tab at the top of the page and browsing through all our free goodies.

We’re also launching a new web application on our site, specifically for Suzerain. Click on the ‘Vault’ tab to see our new feat database, fully searchable. Suzerain characters are all about their feats, and this is a great way to have a browse through all the options, helping you build your favorite characters. In fact, we’re even developing an update to the vault that allows you to create characters right on the web site at any power level, downloading them as PDFs for your game.

And that’ll be free too.

Happy birthday to Suzerain, and to all the fans of roleplaying. Drop us a ‘hello’ in the forums when you come for your free goodies!

Talisman Studios was formed in 2003 as an art and design studio to the adventure games industry, the brainchild of master artists Jason Engle and Aaron Acevedo. The studio is an Origins Award Winner (for Deadlands Reloaded), and has worked on dozens of products. In May 2007 the company stepped up a gear and became a publisher in its own right, starting with its Gamescapes line of game accessories leading up to the launch of Suzerain and Shaintar before Christmas. 2008 will see the company work on more than a hundred high art gaming products.

Suzerain is a multi-genre, multi-world game system, Origins Award nominated in 2008. Ron Blessing of The Game’s The Thing had this to say about it, “I can't wait to spend time in this playground. The book as a whole is awesome. Suzerain can be as simple or detailed as the players and director want. The art is absolutely gorgeous. Hopefully it's obvious I'm pretty high on this product. Wow. Just wow.”

Perhaps this is a shot in the dark, but would anybody know where I can find something like "modern miniatures"... if such a thing exists? I'm planning on running a Vampire: the Masquerade game soon, and I'd like to have a few mini's for my battle map. I have plenty that I use for Dungeons & Dragons, but Vampire loses a little something when you use "Gar the Dwarven" (or something) to represent your Toreador.

Hey there!
Was just wondering if this community was still active or if you're all off gaming somewhere. Any of you go to ITT Tech? I just graduated earlier this month.

Hi there. I moved to Nashville a couple months ago and I'm beginning to go into gaming withdrawal, so I'd like to meet some other gamers and maybe join or start a group. I have plenty of experience playing and running D&D, D20 Modern and Future, the White Wolf games, Shadowrun, and the Firefly rpg, and I'm down for learning other systems. Unfortunately, I don't have a car right now since someone totalled it in Columbia, but my legs work alright and I'm learning the bus system. If it's any incentive, I'm totally down with running games.

Also, where are the good game shops?

Connooga-Munchkin Tournament (February 22-24, 2008)
After conferring with Rev Bob (our resident Steve Jackson MIB) at the Harry Potter release thingy at Books-A-Million Friday night, we have come with our solution for the Munchkin Tournament.

First Round-Six tables of six players will play against each other with a randomly determined Munchkin set. It could be Bites, Super, Fu, Impossible, or even Cthulhu. The winners from those individual tables will go on to the...

Second Round- where the basic Munchkin set (and all of it's expansions-maybe even Blender!) will be utilized. The winner of this round will be Connooga's First Uber-Munchkin Champion where he/she can gloat, point at his/her inferiors and laugh maniacally.

Prizes to be determined as we get closer to convention time.

So...sit back, relax, and get ready to Stab your buddy in the back.

Get it on!!!

Connooga Update (February 22-24, 2008)
Steve Kenson and Rob Schwalb, both of Green Ronin (True20, Mutants and MasterMinds) sent me their confirmations this week.

And they want to run a special preview of an RPG project they are working on. Want a clue? George R.R. Martin.

I can say no more.

Looking for White Wolf Players
Ok...I am looking for a group in Middle Tennessee to play White Wolf's Orpheus. Think Flatliners, (the movie), combined with a serious Ghostbusters. A group of scientists has perfected the art of projection, sending your spirit/soul into the spirit realm. Could be run like the show "24," with supernatural big bads....

I have the core book and 5 supplements and would like to play or run it. Seems pretty cool. Go to White Wolf's website for details. I will run or play. It is set up with a specific meta plot (it was designed by the creator as a short campaign with a specific plot).
I have specifically not read any of the other supplements so as not to learn the metaplot in case I am a player.

Hypericon Gaming Forum
If you're interested in running or playing games at Hypericon please check out our forums at

I have set up a general gaming discussion forum as well as forums for "Things I Want To Play" and "Things I Want To Run". These include both RPGs and board games.

For security purposes we will have to approve each new registration to the forums but we will get each one processed as quickly as possible.

Click "register" near the top of the page to begin setting up your account. Once you're approved you can post about games you'd like to see at the con.

If you would like to run demos, mention that in the forums, too. If you have any questions please email me at gaming@hypericon.info or post them on the forums.

Please pass this information on to anyone else who would be interested.
